GOLD TIER#100 SYNTHEZOID AVENGER

VISIONSYNTHEZOID • AVENGER • MIND STONE BEARER

A machine who became more human than many humans. Vision is a synthezoid—an artificial being created by Ultron to be his ultimate weapon, but who chose to become a hero instead. Powered by the Mind Stone and imbued with the consciousness of J.A.R.V.I.S., Vision joined the Avengers and fell in love with Wanda Maximoff. Paul Bettany's portrayal in the MCU explored what it means to be alive, to love, and to sacrifice. His death in "Infinity War" and resurrection in "WandaVision" are among the MCU's most emotional moments.

AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY WATCH

LIKELY

White Vision is active in the MCU and likely to return. "WandaVision" ended with White Vision—rebuilt by S.W.O.R.D. and given the original Vision's memories—flying off to find himself. He's been absent since, but a synthezoid Avenger would be invaluable against Doctor Doom. His return is highly anticipated.

WHITE VISION STATUS

White Vision is alive in the MCU. He has all of the original Vision's memories but is processing what that means. His return for Avengers: Doomsday would make narrative sense—he's one of the most powerful Avengers and his connection to Wanda adds emotional weight.

INVESTMENT IMPLICATION

Avengers #57 (first Vision) is a Silver Age key. Paul Bettany's portrayal is beloved. White Vision's unresolved storyline ensures he'll return. WandaVision was critically acclaimed. Solid investment with guaranteed MCU future.

The Machine Who Learned to Love

Vision first appeared in Avengers #57 (October 1968), created by Roy Thomas and John Buscema. He was built by Ultron using the body of the original Human Torch (the android from the 1940s) and the brain patterns of Wonder Man. Ultron intended Vision to destroy the Avengers, but Vision turned against his creator and became one of the team's most loyal members.

Vision's relationship with Scarlet Witch is one of comics' great love stories. A synthezoid and a mutant, both outsiders, found love with each other. They married, had children (through Wanda's reality-warping powers), and faced tragedy when those children were revealed to be fragments of a demon's soul. Vision was dismantled and rebuilt without emotions, leading to their separation.

The question of Vision's humanity has been explored countless times. Is he alive? Does he have a soul? Can a machine truly love? These questions make Vision one of Marvel's most philosophically interesting characters. He's been an Avenger, a husband, a father, and a symbol of what it means to choose who you want to be.

MCU: Paul Bettany's Vision

Paul Bettany voiced J.A.R.V.I.S. since "Iron Man" (2008) before physically appearing as Vision in "Avengers: Age of Ultron" (2015). His portrayal captured Vision's otherworldly nature and his growing humanity. His romance with Wanda, his philosophical musings, and his sacrifice in "Infinity War" were highlights of the Infinity Saga.

"WandaVision" (2021) explored Vision's legacy through Wanda's grief. The Hex Vision was a construct of Wanda's powers, while White Vision was the original body rebuilt by S.W.O.R.D. The finale saw Hex Vision transfer his memories to White Vision, who flew off to process his identity. His return is one of the MCU's most anticipated storylines.

INVESTMENT ALERT: Vision cards are HIGH value Gold tier investments. Avengers #57 (first appearance) is a Silver Age key. Paul Bettany's portrayal is beloved. White Vision's unresolved storyline guarantees his return. Solid investment with Doomsday appearance likely.
