PLATINUM TIER#102 MCU ACTIVE

WOLVERINELOGAN • WEAPON X • THE BEST THERE IS

I'm the best there is at what I do, but what I do isn't very nice. Wolverine is the most popular X-Man and one of Marvel's most iconic characters. Born James Howlett in the 1880s, he's lived through wars, lost countless loved ones, and been transformed into a living weapon. Hugh Jackman's 17-year portrayal defined the character for a generation, and his return in "Deadpool & Wolverine" (2024) brought him into the MCU proper. Logan is now officially part of the multiverse saga.

The film grossed over $1.3 billion and established that variants of Fox X-Men characters can exist in the MCU multiverse. Wolverine's involvement in Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars is virtually guaranteed—he's too popular and too important to exclude.

DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE SUCCESS

The film proved audiences want Hugh Jackman's Wolverine. It broke box office records and established the multiverse connection. Kevin Feige now has the blueprint for integrating X-Men characters. Wolverine will be central to the multiverse saga's conclusion.

The Immortal Mutant Warrior

Wolverine first appeared in Incredible Hulk #180 (cameo) and #181 (full appearance) in 1974, created by Len Wein, John Romita Sr., and Herb Trimpe. Originally a Canadian government agent, he was recruited by Professor X for the "All-New, All-Different" X-Men in Giant-Size X-Men #1 (1975). That team—including Storm, Nightcrawler, and Colossus—revitalized the X-Men franchise.

Logan's past is shrouded in mystery and trauma. Born James Howlett in the 1880s, his mutant powers manifested when bone claws emerged from his hands. He's lived through both World Wars, been experimented on by the Weapon X program (which bonded adamantium to his skeleton), and lost his memories multiple times. His healing factor has kept him alive for over a century, but it's also meant watching everyone he loves die.

Despite his gruff exterior and violent tendencies, Wolverine has a code of honor. He's been an X-Man, an Avenger, a teacher at the Jean Grey School, and a father figure to young mutants like Kitty Pryde, Jubilee, and X-23 (his female clone who has taken up the Wolverine mantle). His rivalry with Sabretooth and his complicated relationship with Jean Grey are legendary storylines.

MCU: Hugh Jackman's Return

Hugh Jackman first played Wolverine in "X-Men" (2000) and portrayed the character for 17 years across nine films, culminating in the acclaimed "Logan" (2017). His performance defined the character for a generation and is considered one of the greatest superhero portrayals ever. When he announced his retirement from the role, fans mourned.

Then came the announcement: Hugh Jackman would return in "Deadpool & Wolverine" (2024). The film was a massive success, grossing over $1.3 billion and proving that audiences still want Jackman's Logan. The multiverse allows his Wolverine to exist alongside the MCU's eventual X-Men reboot. His involvement in Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars seems inevitable.
