Marvel's First Lady

Invisible Woman first appeared in Fantastic Four #1 (November 1961), created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Susan Storm was one of four people exposed to cosmic rays during an unauthorized space flight, gaining the power of invisibility. She married Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic) and became the heart of Marvel's First Family. Sue is the sister of Johnny Storm (Human Torch) and mother to Franklin and Valeria Richards.

Initially portrayed as the team's weakest member, Sue evolved into arguably its most powerful. Her force fields can contain nuclear explosions, create invisible constructs, and cut through nearly any material. She can make others invisible, create force bubbles inside enemies, and project invisible force blasts. Many writers consider her the most powerful member of the FF.

Sue is the emotional anchor of the Fantastic Four—the one who keeps the family together through Reed's obsessions, Johnny's recklessness, and Ben's despair. Her strength isn't just physical; she's the moral center of the team. Her complicated history with Doctor Doom and Namor adds depth to her character.
