The Cosmic Hoarder
Taneleer Tivan is one of the oldest beings in the universe, having survived since shortly after the Big Bang. As an Elder of the Universe, he has dedicated his immortal existence to collecting rare and unique items from across the cosmos—including living beings.
His collection includes everything from alien species to Infinity Stones. In the MCU, he possessed the Reality Stone (Aether) before Thanos came for it, and his museum on Knowhere housed countless treasures from across the galaxy.

Benicio del Toro first appeared as The Collector in Thor: The Dark World's post-credits scene, receiving the Aether from the Asgardians.
