GOLD TIER#095 DEADLY ASSASSIN

ELEKTRAELEKTRA NATCHIOS • THE HAND • DAREDEVIL

The deadliest assassin in the Marvel Universe. Elektra Natchios is a master of martial arts, a wielder of twin sai, and the woman who has died and been resurrected more times than almost any other hero. Her tragic romance with Matt Murdock, her corruption by The Hand, and her journey between hero and villain have made her one of comics' most complex characters. She's been Daredevil, she's been an Avenger, and she's always been dangerous.

POSSIBLE

Elektra is a Thunderbolts candidate with Daredevil connections. With "Daredevil: Born Again" bringing the Netflix characters into the MCU proper, Elektra could return. She's been an Avenger in the comics and a Thunderbolts member. Her assassin skills would be valuable for any covert operation against Doctor Doom.

DAREDEVIL CONNECTION

Elektra is intrinsically linked to Daredevil. With "Born Again" bringing Matt Murdock back, Elektra's return is possible. She's been both his greatest love and greatest enemy. Her resurrection and redemption arcs could play into the MCU's expanding street-level universe.

INVESTMENT IMPLICATION

Daredevil #168 (first Elektra) is a Bronze Age key by Frank Miller. Her Netflix portrayal by Elodie Yung was well-received. Any MCU return announcement would spike values. Thunderbolts/Daredevil connections make her relevant.

The Assassin's Journey

Elektra first appeared in Daredevil #168 (January 1981), created by Frank Miller. She was introduced as Matt Murdock's college girlfriend, a Greek ambassador's daughter who witnessed her father's assassination and devoted her life to becoming the world's deadliest assassin. Her story is one of tragedy, corruption, and redemption.

Elektra was killed by Bullseye in Daredevil #181—one of comics' most famous deaths. But death couldn't hold her. She was resurrected by The Hand, corrupted into their weapon, and eventually freed by Matt Murdock. She's died and returned multiple times since, each resurrection changing her in subtle ways.

In recent years, Elektra has taken on the mantle of Daredevil herself, proving she can be a hero. She's served on the Avengers and the Thunderbolts. Her journey from assassin to hero—while never fully leaving her deadly past behind—has made her one of Marvel's most nuanced characters.

MCU: Elodie Yung's Elektra

Elodie Yung portrayed Elektra in Netflix's "Daredevil" Season 2 (2016) and "The Defenders" (2017). Her portrayal captured Elektra's complexity—the assassin struggling with her nature, the woman who loved Matt Murdock, the weapon of The Hand. She died in "The Defenders" but was resurrected by The Hand.

With "Daredevil: Born Again" bringing the Netflix characters into the MCU proper, Elektra's return is possible. The show is expected to continue storylines from the original series, and Elektra's unresolved arc—resurrected but corrupted—leaves room for her return. Whether as ally or enemy remains to be seen.

INVESTMENT ALERT: Elektra cards are HIGH value Gold tier investments. Daredevil #168 (first appearance) is a Bronze Age Frank Miller key. Her Netflix portrayal was well-received. "Born Again" could bring her back. Solid investment with Daredevil/Thunderbolts connections.
